About Ascension
The Church of the
Ascension started our first service on the 3rd storey of St
Andrew’s School (now the Diocesan Centre) in 1952. 10 years
later, we moved to our own building at the adjacent site in Woodsville.
The “Church on top of the Hill” actively ministered to St
Andrew’s School and to the farms and residences around the Potong
Pasir pond in our earlier days and watched the area grow and develop to
the bustling town it is today.
From our current location
in the heart of St Andrew’s Village (SAV), we have the privilege
to continue ministering and serving our community in Potong Pasir. We
launched the Ascension Kindergarten and Kindercare, provide chaplaincy
and pastoral services to the schools and boarding house and together
with Chapel of the Resurrection and Chapel of the Holy Spirit, organise
and run the ComLink Community programmes.
Our presence extends well beyond our regular Sunday Services. Join us
not only in the pages of this website but visit us in SAV. Ascension
welcomes you.
