Chinese Immersion Programme (CIP)
The Ministry of Education has introduced the pre-school Chinese Curriculum Framework with emphasis on listening and speaking.
Our Kindergarten, in collaboration with Ednovation, has been offering Multiple Intelligence - Chinese Immersion Programme since 2007.
This programme is based on Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences and has been specially designed to prepare K1 & K2 children for Primary One.
In this unique programme, your child in K1 will be exposed to theme-based activities to
promote use of the Chinese Language with special emphasis on listening and speaking.
Included are Festival themes like Chinese New Year, Moon Cake & Dumpling festival with
its history of origin, traditions and activities. Chinese Rapid Word Recognition will also be
introduced to help your child recognize root words and its associated words through rhymes
and stories.
As your child progress to K2, they will be introduced to basic Hanyu Pinyin and also writing in
correct strokes. This is in line with the thrust of the Chinese education reform to adopt
“Recognize First, Write Later” approach to learning Chinese.
