AWWA Special Awards 2006
Each year, Asian Women's Welfare Association (AWWA)
TEACH ME Services recognizes the efforts of children and youths with
physical disabilities who have surmounted the odds to achieve excellence in
various aspects of their lives. In addition, they also acknowledge the partners
in mainstream schools and learning centres who have made significant differences
in their lives.
This year - 2006, Ascension Kindergarten received
the Friendly School Award for having been outstanding in our support
given to Keven Chua, who has been suffering from a skin disease called
“Ichthyosis” since young. We have been instrumental in successfully integrating
Keven. This award was presented by Dr. Amy Khor Lean Suan, Mayor, South West
CDC on the 12 August 2006.
