41 Ascensionaires and co-workers left for Thailand on such a mission of love in November 2002.

The School Team ministered to children in a local school, helping with their English lessons and sharing with them our love and friendship. We also visited orphanages to bring them cheer in songs and dance. Children in tribal villages were also treated to puppet shows, songs and friendly hugs by our Children's Ministry Team.

This year, we were blessed by the presence of not only one, but four doctors and a dentist, allowing us to form two medical teams. The teams treated 1,200 patients in numerous villages without charge. For the first time, dental work was carried out.

Blessings flowed both ways. While we tried to give a little of the abundance we enjoy to to the people, we also received in plentiful their hospitality - housing and feeding us with the best they have in all the villages we stayed at. [See Life's Like That]
