About Ascension
Started in 1952, the
Church of the Ascension has its home in Woodsville, Potong Pasir for the last
50 years [More of our History].
For decades, the church had the privilege to minister not only to the neighbourhood, but to the students and staff of St Andrew's School as well.
In 2001, a historic decision was made to transform the entire area into the St Andrew's Village incorporating the Diocesan Centre, St Andrew's Junior School, St Andrew's Sec School, St Andrew's Junior College, Ascension Kindergarten, St Andrew's House and three church congregations - Church of the Ascension, Chapel of the Holy Spirit and Chapel of the Resurrection.
Our church congregation moved out after the Watchnight Service at the close of 2002 and after 2 years of construction work, we have now moved home into our restored, renovated and upgraded premises! Our first services were held on Sunday 2 January 2005, filling our hearts with deep gratitude to our Lord for His marvellous provision and grace.

Both the English and the Mandarin congregations are headed by our vicar, Rev Gilbert Wong [see Vicar's Message].
